From off the streets of the rust belt comes Night Planet...an evolving land of contradiction. An elusive, and somewhat moody nocturnal spirit with an insatiable lust for diversion.
I think Shanghai gets my vote as most modern looking city, in what I've learned is a contintent of otherwordly architecture by viewing the top 15 skylines in the world. http://www.diserio.com/top15-skylines.html
Hong Kong appears a close second, along with Kuala Lumpur. But New York still ranks in there as one of my favorites. I've got some travelling to do, and associated money to make.

My first word was "airplane" and I didn't pronounce it right. I currently reside in an undisclosed location, but will admit to twice living on the west coast, and attending college in Appalachia. I am somewhat of an artist, businessperson, traveller, observer,an admirer of ugly/traditional beauty...someone who detests too much routine and predictability...a musician, a lover of film, not someone who condemns tv. I like photography,learning Spanish, a descendant of an orphan who stowed away in the hull of a ship to avoid 26 years in the czars army.
